Del Norte County Inmate Population is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release a person, post bond, schedule a visit, or pull an official booking or court record. For official action, use the public agency that holds or created the record.

Where to Ask First

For a local jail booking, start with the Del Norte County Sheriff's Office and Del Norte County Jail. Sheriff Garrett Scott's office lists the sheriff and jail address as 650 Fifth Street, Crescent City, CA 95531, phone (707) 464-4191, and fax (707) 464-6527. The sheriff's records request form is used for crime reports, calls for service, arrest information, and other sheriff public documents. Records questions may be sent to dnso-records@co.del-norte.ca.us. The form says a response should be provided within 10 days, and reports or CADs are $0.20 per page, payable in cash before release.

Public counter hours were confirmed for the sheriff civil office as Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and closed weekends and holidays. The research did not confirm separate jail-records lobby hours, so call the main sheriff number before visiting for custody paperwork, copies, or records pickup.

Public Records Contacts

Del Norte County public-record requests use the county's NextRequest portal under California Government Code 7920.000 et seq. The county states that requesters must identify searchable records, and fees may apply after notice. For sheriff-specific reports, the sheriff's Google Form is the more direct path when the requested document was created by the Sheriff's Office.

Court records are handled by Del Norte Superior Court, 450 H Street, Room 209, Crescent City, CA 95531. The court records office lists phone 707-464-8115 and email records@delnorte.courts.ca.gov. The court says copy and records requests may take up to 14 business days. Online criminal index access was not confirmed, so the court records office is the official source when the case portal does not answer the question.
